Will George Bush Cancel the 2008 Presidential Election?
Posted on November 30th, 2007 in General, Politics |
George W. Bush stated on record (twice) that he has nothing against dictatorship, as long as he is the dictator. The GOP has the power to cancel the 2008 presidential election for reasons of anti-terror, nuclear war, etc… Do you think it could happen?
With a mixture of disenfranchisement, intimidation, faulty ballots, electronic voting fraud, rigging vote counts, and aborting recounts (tools that Bush has been known to use: i.e. Florida 2000, Ohio 2004) I think there is more than a chance this could happen. The question is… could we stop it?
For you that know me - you know I am far from political. This has sparked my interest a little. I’d love to hear how more political people feel about this topic.

Take a look at the actual “Directive” that details the circumstances around a national emergency that would allow something like this to happen and then consider how difficult or nearly impossible it would be for Bush to orchestrate without intentionally KILLING off a few hundred thousand Americans. Only the most extreme “Liberal” conspiracy nut cases would assume any President wants to remain in power under those conditions and would cause that kind of grief to the people just so he could sit in the chair of power for a couple years longer.

Now, assuming this did actually happen it would mean the suspension of ALL elections and currently the House and Senate both are ruled by a significant Democrat majority. It would only be a matter of time before they could rally to impeach the President and have him removed from office. Sure, it could take a year or two but it WOULD happen because the executive order is not permanent and the President would have to continually orchestrate new ATTACKS on the American people to try and string it along. Impossible - NO, but anyone with common sense will agree that should anything like this happen the American people would be at the gates of the White House with torches and pitchforks issuing their own justice long before the Politicians find a solution.
^ is that Bill O’reilly by any chance?
there’s something called propaganda that convinces almost everyone of anything. so the whole pitchforks thing would hardly be able to happen. i doubt they’ll cancel the election, the puppets they have up front won’t really make that much difference. but it’s hard to get this into perspective before they take us to war with Iran. it’s completely within their grasp to go ahead with a (temporary?) dictatorship though, it’s been tried and tested many times before.
