Booklet 3G – The Nokia Netbook

by Peter Vatistas on August 24, 2009

This morning Nokia announced the release of their new netbook, the Nokia Booklet 3G. This snazzy little laptop packs an Atom processor and a high resolution, 10.1-inch display along an integrated 3G wireless and a hot-swappable SIM card. Reading other posts this netbook seems to be running Microsoft Windows 7 which doesn’t surprise me considering all the buzz between the two giants recently.

Nokia’s Executive Vice President for Devices, Kai Oistamo, speaks about adding a netbook to their range of products:

“A growing number of people want the computing power of a PC with the full benefits of mobility. We are in the business of connecting people and the Nokia Booklet 3G is a natural evolution for us. Nokia has a long and rich heritage in mobility and with the outstanding battery life, premium design and all day, always on connectivity, we will create something quite compelling. In doing so we will make the personal computer more social, more helpful and more personal.”
