SEO: My List of Search Engine Optimization Tools

As an SEO I always try to stay up to date with techniques, tools and information. A few years ago I started my own Internet Marketing firm offering SEO, SEM, Analytics, Affiliate and Ad marketing services for medium to large companies and over the years I’ve compiled quite a list of SEO tools.

Within the last three weeks I’ve received over 150 requests for what tools and/or applications I use specifically for search engine optimization. Below you will find my list of tools, applications and services I use on a regular basis, I hope this information helps and keep the questions coming if they don’t! :)

Hi Peter,

I recommend adding Yahoo Site Explorer to the list. It is very helpful in terms of discovering what links your competitors have. Many tools will tell you how many incoming links a website has. Yahoo Site Explorer will tell you exactly which sites are linking to your competitors.

I think now its time for you omit google keyword tracker tool as its getting complain more often..i too have experienced the same problem with this as it showing broad results. Even wordtracker from Yahoo seems to taken back…i am glad i was not the person who was using any of these tools. Actually i used SERP analytics, its free keyword tool.- http://www.serpanalytics.com/tools/top_keywords
