SEO TIP – Advanced Search Operators for Google

I think it’s great when questions come in like this one because it shows the right type of progress in someone’s understanding of how to use Google for SEO.  Today’s SEO tip is really just a list of Google’s advanced search operators I use along with a quick blurb explaining each one’s purpose.

Google Advanced Search Operators for search engine optimization

allinanchor: (all query words must appear in anchor text of links to the page)
inanchor: (terms must appear in anchor text to this page)
allintext: (all query words must appear in the text of the page)
intext: (terms must appear in the text of the page)
allintitle: (all query words must appear in the page title)
intitle: (terms must appear in the title of the page)
allinurl: (all query words must appear in the url)
inurl: (terms must appear in the url)
