The Ultimate Skype Setup - D-Link DPH-50U

I really wanted to write about this a couple months ago but I figured I should put it to the test before I recommend or bust it. I am a major Skype fan and have been using Skype religiously for years. Recently I purchased the D-Link DPH-50U which is a USB Skype adapter. I did a lot of research on USB Skype adapters before I purchased one and this one really stood out to me.

The D-Link DPH-50U plugs directly into your computer or laptop via USB. There are two RJ11 ports on the side of this small device, one for a landline and the other for your telephone. That’s right folks, you can have two phone lines using this device - landline and Skype! I have a Uniden phone system I purchased from Best Buy and only the main base needs to plug into the landline jack. This phone system has 5 bases that all wirelessly communicate with the main base, so now I have both my landline and my Skype in every room of the house!!

In addition to the D-Link DPH-50U I also purchased the Netgear Skype phone for travel but you really don’t need one. Where ever you go you can bring the D-Link USB Skype adapter, even hotel phones (just plug it directly into the device and your good to go!).

Now if your interested in the D-Link DPH-50U make sure to buy it through Amazon.com, they seem to have the best prices on these and you can get it really fast for free!
