Welcome Open Site Explorer by SEOmoz

by Peter Vatistas on January 21, 2010

Welcome Open Site Explorer (OSE) by SEOmoz, powered by Linkscape.  What is Open Site Explorer?  It’s a link popularity checker and backlink analysis tool that provides high quality and relevant link metric data for the serious internet marketer.  This new tool allows SEO’s like myself to gather, sort and export link data much more efficient that before.  The best part about is it’s uses Linkscape’s massive index which by itself is enough to celebrate.

I use SEOmoz’s Linkscape tool very regularly and now having used the new Open Site Explorer for the last couple days, I’ve become an addict of yet another SEOmoz tool (gee thanks guys).  Definitely take the time to read Rand’s in-depth introduction to Open Site Explorer here.  There are many BIG benefits to becoming a PRO member of SEOmoz but you don’t need to be to use OSE.

Thanks Peter! I used to be a member of SEOmoz but haven’t been on their site for about a year now. Open Site Explorer is pretty slick but what I didn’t realize is how BIG and AWESOME Linkscape is! Man am I stuck in old school mode haha!

SEOmoz seems to really be picking up steam which is perfect for me, I need all the help I can get! My firm has a good amount of small to medium size clients but we hope to be in your arena within the next couple years. Do you have any advice for a hungry SEO firm? We have noticed (my Phoenix firm and the two firms we share work with in Tempe and in Tucson) that the larger businesses are attracted to you. As much as I would love to have that business, I am wondering if you would be interested in referring smaller businesses, that you normally turn down, to us? The last two clients we picked up were ones that you turned down and I’d love to work something out where we agree to refer the clients too large for us to manage and in return we accept the clients too small for your management.

Sorry for veering off course with this comment but a light bulb went off I guess, haha. Anyways, thanks again for the Open Site Explorer info and I would really appreciate some time to talk (or email, IM, whatever works).

-Mike
